Books Recalled For Incorrect Wiring Instructions


A recall of about 951,000 Home Improvement Books has been announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Published by Oxmoor House, Inc., of Birmingham, Alabama, the CPSC said the recalled books contain technical diagram and wiring instruction errors that could confuse consumers. They could install or repair electrical wiring incorrectly, creating electrical shock or a fire hazard. To date, no injuries or incidents have been reported.

The U.S. printed Home Improvement Books were sold at national bookstores and home improvement stores from January 1975 through December 2009 and cost between $13 and $35.
